A meeting of the DSPNS Board of Management (BOM) was held on Monday 11th November 2024.

Items on the agenda included the Principal’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, Voluntary Contributions (VCs), Communications, Maintenance, and Buildings report. A summary of items discussed include;

• The BoM offer their condolences to the family of Nadya Paschenko who contributed so much to the PTA and the school community. Our heartfelt sympathy to you.
• The Board of Management would like to acknowledge the work of the DSP community, parents, past parents, staff and members of the PTA & the BoM who have come together in a voluntary capacity to offer their skills and talents for the child-centred campaign Enough! For Every Child.
• The BoM would also like to acknowledge the changemaking work of the Student Council. The Student Council have made great contributions to the child-centred campaign Enough! For Every Child, ensuring the voice of the child is heard by the adults who can make a difference.
• The BoM would like to thank parent/guardians for their voluntary contributions which ensure our children have not only a safe, warm and bright learning environment but also have access to varied and enriching learning experiences throughout the year, all of which help our children to thrive.
• The BoM would like to welcome all new members of staff to the school. We would also like to recognise the work and effort of all staff while positions were being filled. The BoM would like to commend the comradery and teamwork of the staff of DSP.
• Congratulations to Amy Wall (teacher in 4^th and 6^th Class) on her silver medal win at the European Kickboxing Championship.
• As part of the 4 year cyclical changeover of Boards of Management, the Board invites nominations from people who have skills in areas such as community-building, law, construction, human resources, education, finance, IT. The BoM AGM will take place on 25th November 2024 when elections will take place. Nominations can be made through the office (info@dspns.ie) for the attentionof the BoM.
