Today, Sixth Class were presented with an AbbVie STEM prize for the science project they submitted last year while in Fifth Class with Mr. Doohan. Congratulations to all the children and teachers involved!  We welcomed Phil Smyth aka Phil the Scientist and Clíodhna Ni Shé from UCD for a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Maths) visit to our classroom. Clíodhna lead the class in observing and experimenting with some mind-bending science activities. Thank-you to AbbVie for our prize box of science resources. And thank-you to Betty for the celebratory caramel slices which all the children enjoyed.
