It was such a pleasure to see the children become the leaders for their adults today. They really lived up to our ‘green agreements’ of keeping themselves safe and happy and especially today, keeping their adults safe and happy. This included explaining the games, finding an easeful path for their adults to the base camp and teaching them how to make willow circles for the nests. The children know these woods better than most adults and loved showing them their special places and all their learnings over the last 9 weeks. Creativity, leadership, empathy and teamwork flowed throughout the session especially during the nest building that required collaborative problem solving. And you can see from the photos below how much joy was felt by both the adults and the children.
